Why is my cookie categorization update not reflected on my website?

The cookie scanner will automatically detect and categorize cookies for you. However, in some cases you may need to change a cookie’s categorization.

After you change a cookie’s categorization in your Termly dashboard, you will need to regenerate your cookie policy to update the categorizations in your website’s preference center.

To regenerate your cookie policy:

  1. Log in to your Termly dashboard

  2. Click Scan Report

  3. Click Generate Cookie Policy

This will generate a new cookie policy with the updated cookie classifications. It will also update the cookie preference center on your website.
