What’s changing
IAB TCF v2.3 introduces a disclosedVendors segment in the TC String. This segment represents the vendor IDs that were disclosed (shown) to users in the CMP UI.
Why it matters
IAB TCF requires TC Strings created after February 28, 2026 to include the disclosedVendors segment. TC Strings created before that date remain valid.
What Termly is doing
Termly is updating TC String generation to include the disclosedVendors segment in the correct position (immediately after the Core segment) for TCF v2.3 compliance.
What customers need to do
In most cases: nothing (no code change required).
To stay compliant, ensure:
- IAB TCF is enabled for your Europe region settings in Termly, and
- You’re using the latest Termly embed script from the dashboard (or the latest version of your GTM template / plugin).
How vendors are determined / displayed
When TCF is enabled, Termly displays a detailed vendor list for EU visitors. Vendors can be auto-detected during scans and/or added manually via the Vendors page.
How to validate
You can validate the TC String using IAB TCF validator/decoder tooling (e.g., CMP validator extensions / decoders) and confirm the presence of disclosedVendors in strings created after the enforcement date.
