Domain Rules
When the Auto Blocker is enabled, users can configure how their Consent Management Platform (CMP) blocks third-party scripts based on the domain they originate from using Domain Rules. This eliminates the need for direct modifications to website content and enables more flexible script management. While Domain Rules can work alongside a Custom Blocking Map, they provide a more streamlined way to categorize and block domains at both the account and website levels.

Frequently Asked Questions
For existing users that have a custom blocking map installed on their website, how will Domain Rules affect it?
Domain Rules and the custom blocking map are designed to work together. The custom blocking map hardcoded on the page will still function and take precedence over any settings applied through Domain Rules. Users are not required to remove their existing custom blocking map to transition to Domain Rules.
Should users remove the existing custom blocking map and transition to Domain Rules, or can they keep it?
Users can keep their existing custom blocking map. However, it is recommended to use Domain Rules for better management and efficiency.
Does reclassification in Domain Rules affect the categories of cookies?
No, reclassification in Domain Rules does not affect the categories of cookies. To update the category of a cookie, users need to go to the Cookie Report page and update it from there.
How long will it take for the changes to reflect on the website?
It may take 5–10 minutes for the Domain Rules to take effect on your website. Meanwhile, for Duda users, it may take a bit longer—around 15–20 minutes.
